A year of firsts
Before the next Major and the first-ever World Championships outside of North-America officially kick off, let’s take a quick look back. Estonia’s first-ever Major is now behind us and oh what a ride those four competition days (plus one superstar-filled Tuesday night) turned out to be.

We kicked the week off with the Coolbet Disc Golf Superstar Challenge, where Team Estonia, also known as the Bazooka Battalion, took home the win for the very first time. Guess the home crowd really did boost Kaidi Allsalu, Keiti Tätte, Silver Lätt, and Albert Tamm, who took down the three other stacked teams — Missy & the Bombers, The Jerminators, and the Wysocki Warriors. And let’s not forget Trad.Attack!, who brought the energy and had everyone dancing in their socks. What. A. Blast.

Another big first — Silva Saarinen claimed her first Major win! While it was tough seeing home hero Kristin Lätt lose the lead she held going into Championship Sunday, Silva absolutely earned that title. Calm, composed, and clutch, she closed the back nine 6-under while Kristin ran into trouble on the green, most painfully on holes 11 and 17. Silva’s surge sealed it. At just 20 years old, she’s now a Major champ — and probably not for the last time.

And then there’s Calvin Heimburg. The guy once called “the best player in the world without a Major win” is now officially a Major champion. He and Gannon Buhr broke free from a logjam of contenders on Championship Sunday, and Calvin sealed the deal with a 42-foot dagger that sent the crowd into a frenzy. With the most Elite Series wins without a Major, this one hit different. And honestly — could there be a better place to finally do it than in Estonia, where he might just be one of the most beloved players?

We feel incredibly lucky to have had the chance to turn the European Championships into an Elite event, and now into a PDGA Major. Huge thanks to everyone who believed in us and made this possible. A massive thanks also goes out to our sponsors. You made it possible to dream big and go even bigger. From keeping the lights on to helping us tell the world about this event, your support was felt in every corner of the course and beyond.
And above all, thank you to the 100+ volunteers who lived and breathed this event for two weeks straight at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds. You gave it your all and then some. This success is yours.
We will be back in 2026 with the only PDGA Major in Europe. Get your super early bird tickets now.
