The Rockstar Is Even Bigger and Better in 2025
The European Disc Golf Festival returns with a course upgrade that matches the event’s Major status. Here are five of the biggest changes that make the 2025 layout tougher, smarter, and more exciting than ever:
1. Brand new Hole 4
We’re moving further out from the Song Festival Grounds with a completely redesigned Hole 4. New lines, new views, and a fresh test for the pros.
2. Three holes with alternating pin positions
Holes 2, 4, and 11 will now change basket locations depending on the round. That means players need to stay sharp — what worked yesterday might not work today.
3. No drop zone on Hole 7
The legendary Sviby island hole just raised the stakes. With the drop zone removed, a missed island now sends players straight back to the tee. Expect drama.

4. Longer, more technical course
The MPO layout for days 3 and 4 is now 216 meters (708 feet) longer than last year. The FPO layout grew by 86 meters (282 feet). The result? A harder course that’s still easy to follow for spectators on-site.
5. Hole 18 is now an island finisher
The final hole has transformed into a true island hole — complete with a drop zone that’s far from the green. If the wind picks up, we’re in for serious tension at the very last putt.

2025 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet. The course is tougher, the stars are here and the pressure is real — just the way a Major should be.
